Summer break is in full swing across Henrico County. It’s a time to relax by the pool, enjoy a good book or take a much needed vacation. That wasn’t the case for some Marine Corps Junior ROTC cadets from Hermitage, Tucker and Highland Springs High School. They spent their first week off at the MCJROTC Leadership Camp, learning the ropes from some of Henrico’s finest. In addition to learning about the Henrico Police and Fire Departments, they also toured Jail East and heard some sobering life lessons from the inmates.
