Thousands of Virginia teachers received a thank-you note in the Lottery’s “Thank a Teacher” effort, which took place in April and May. More than 35,000 notes were written by Virginians who described the amazing teachers in their lives. Sarah Stultz, a 5th Grade Teacher at Carver Elementary, had her name chosen as the grand prize winner in a drawing. Paula Otto, the Executive Director of the Virginia Lottery, surprised her at the school during the morning announcements! The prize includes a four-day, three-night Virginia-themed vacation courtesy of the Lottery and the Virginia Tourism Corporation!
